Installing Topicexplorer Desktop (Version 2.0):
 
  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Browse to the folder on your hard disk drive that contains the downloaded executable file.
  3. Double-click the executable file.
  4. Click Next to start the installation process. Follow the instructions that will appear on your screen.

ADO and JET

Microsoft Data Access Components - or MDAC - is a set of services you install on your computer that enable communication with databases. MDAC is produced and distributed by Microsoft, with periodic updates. Installing MDAC is similar to installing a Windows Service Pack, and typically requires a reboot.

To run Topicexplorer Desktop you will need to have MDAC v2.7 or later and JET 4.0 installed. Typically, updated versions of MDAC and JET is already installed on the Windows XP and Windows 2000 (SP3) operating systems.
